• Hank and Jerry acquired, picked up, and stocked 1,000 hybrid bluegills the week of June 9th. These fast growing fish should grow to catching/eating size by late next summer (2009). Enjoy the fishing.
  
  
• NOTE: There have been numerous sightings of adult bears and bear cubs all around the lake. This can be a dangerous situation. In order to encourage them to leave the area, please do not put seed in any bird feeders that bears can get at (probably most), do not leave food or garbage outdoors, make sure that all garbage is placed into the dumpster and closed securely, and take whatever other precautions that you can think of to not attract bears. Also, be careful when you are at the garbage dumpsters and be wary of letting your dogs run free.
  
  We have had bears in the area during the spring in recent years, but they seem much worse this year. Hopefully, as summer approaches, they will retreat back into the deeper woods, but for now, please be careful.
